ORDINANCE NO. 84

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN ADOPTING THE 2009 EDITIONS OF THE INTERNATIONAL MECHANICAL CODE, INTERNATIONAL FUEL GAS CODE, ADOPTING THE 2009 INTERNATIONAL RESIDENTIAL CODE, CHAPTERS 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, CHAPTER 24, REGULATING AND GOVERNING THE DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION, QUALITY OF MATERIALS, ERECTION, INSTALLATION, ALTERATION, REPAIR, LOCATION, RELOCATION, REPLACEMENT, ADDITION TO, USE OR MAINTENANCE OF MECHANICAL SYSTEMS IN THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN.

Section 1: Building Official: Whenever the term “authorized building official” or “building official” is referred to in the codes adopted by this Ordinance, such reference and designation shall be deemed to refer to and describe the “building official” of the City of Georgetown, a political subdivision of the State of Idaho.

Section 2: Adoption of Uniform Codes: The 2009 Editions of the International Mechanical Code, International Fuel Gas Code, the 2009 International Residential Code, Chapters 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, Chapter 24, regulating and governing the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance or mechanical systems are hereby adopted by the City of Georgetown.

Section 3: Conflicting Ordinances Repealed: All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

Section 4: Effective Date: hat this Ordinance and the rules, regulations, provisions, requirements, orders and matters established and adopted hereby shall take effect and be in full force and effect upon its due publication as provided by law, an emergency existing therefore.

Section 5: Severability: If any portion of this ordinance is determined by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, all other provisions of this ordinance shall main in full force and effect.
