ORDINANCE #34
AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE THE PAYMENTS FOR WATER SERVICE
BE IT ORDAINED by the Chairman and Village board of Georgetown, Idaho as follows:
Section I
A fee known as an advance deposit shall be required of all water users before or at the time the water is turned on at any point of service. This fee shall be double the regular monthly fee for water supplied by the Village.
SECTION II
All users of water shall be required to pay a fee of $4.00 monthly to the Village Clerk for use of said water and the Village shall have authority to refuse service and turn off the water supply to any user who becomes more than two months delinquent.
SECTION III
All property owners who rent residential or other properties where water is used shall be responsible and are hereby required to pay the advance deposit and regular monthly water fees instead of causing them to be paid by the renters.
SECTION IV
Should any section, clause, or provision of this ordinance be declared by the courts to be invalid, the same shall not effect the validity of this ordinance as a whole, or any part thereof other than the part so declared invalid.
SECTION V
In the opinion of the Village Board, it is necessary that this ordinance shall take effect upon its first publication. This ordinance shall repeal all ordinance or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith.
