Resolution #2012-4: Proclaiming June to be Take Pride In Georgetown Month

CITY OF GEORGETOWN
BEAR LAKE COUNTY, STATE OF IDAHO

RESOLUTION No. 2012-004

A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING JUNE TO BE TAKE PRIDE IN GEORGETOWN MONTH.

WHEREAS, citizens of Georgetown are civic-minded individuals who are proud of their city and want to demonstrate their pride to each other, visitors and tourists; and

WHEREAS, cleaning the city is an overwhelming endeavor for a few but can be a smaller project for many, and the willingness of citizens to volunteer for this project is of great help to local governments; and

WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Bear Lake Memorial Hospital, and Bear Lake County are working together to organize clean-up efforts in the city; and

WHEREAS, one month spent in a cooperative effort to clean up roadways, vacant lots, public spaces and personal yards will not only give our city a welcome facelift but will also help us present a positive image.

NOW, THEREFORE, be it hereby resolved by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Georgetown, Bear Lake County, Idaho, do hereby proclaim the month of June, 2012 to be

CITY WIDE CLEAN UP MONTH

and encourage citizens in the city to do their part to make Georgetown an attractive city and great place to live.

Passed by the Council and approved by the Mayor this 1st day of May, 2012.
