CITY OF GEORGETOWN, STATE OF IDAHO

ORDINANCE NO. 82

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN PERMITTING BUILDING INSPECTION OF RESIDENCES AND OTHER STRUCTURES TO BE CONDUCTED BY AN AUTHORIZED BUILDING OFFICIAL WHICH SHALL INCLUDE THE BUILDING INSPECTOR FOR BEAR LAKE COUNTY, IDAHO, AS WELL AS ANY STATE AUTHORIZED BUILDING OFFICIAL.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, STATE OF IDAHO, AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1: Building Official

The term “authorized building official” or “building official” shall be deemed to refer to and describe the Building Inspector of Bear Lake County, Idaho, a political subdivision of the State of Idaho, and/or a State of Idaho authorized building official, authorized for the inspection of HVAC systems as authorized by statute.

Section 2: Selection of Building Official

The residents of the City of Georgetown may select any building official as defined by this Ordinance for HVAC inspection purposes for new construction within the city limits of Georgetown.

<u>Section 3: Waiver of the Three Reading Rule

One half (1/2) plus one (1) of the members of the full council agree to dispense with the rule requiring the reading of this ordinance on three (3) separate occasions.

Section 4: Effective Date

This Ordinance and the rules, regulations, provisions, requirements, orders and matters established and adopted hereby shall take effect and be in full force and effect upon its due passage and publication as provided by law.
